Once you have created a job seeker account, you are presented a workflow designed to help you create your candidate account profile.  See the image below:

STEP ONE: To upload your resume - simply click the UPLOAD AND IMPORT button.  Drill down to the file on your local PC and select the right file.  LocalJobs will then import the file and parse it into a searchable document.

STEP TWO: Add a photo image, confirm your name and add in your contact phone number.  NOTE: Only recruiters you approve a connect request from will be able to see your contact information.

STEP THREE: Customize your account profile further by adding the Desired Job Title (ie, the name of your resume - it may be something like "Accountant" or "Sales Manager") and Desired Occupation (ie, what industry are you in - such as "Healthcare" or "Manufacturing" or "Brewing or Brewer").

Complete the other requested fields of Employment Type, Career Status, when you can start and any other notes that would be helpful.

When you click CONTINUE button - you are presented with the finished resume product.  That is if you've taken the time to complete all the steps outlined above.  If not, you can always edit the specific section of your resume needing help.  Additionally, you will need to verify your email address in order to apply for jobs on LocalJobs.  Please stop what you are doing and check your inbox for the confirmation email.  If you don't see it - check your SPAM folder as well.

VIDEO INTRODUCTION

Notice that there is a section when you can ADD or upload a video file.  LocalJobs is the only job site that let's you present a :60 second introduction video - embedded directly into your resume.  TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS FEATURE.  By clicking the ADD file section where indicated by the green arrow, you can choose to either make a recording right then and there, or upload a previously stored file.

This is crucial today.  Survey results say that a positive presentation of yourself will 100% improve the likelihood that you will get called in to an interview.  Take your time to create an elevator pitch about yourself.  It will be the best time spent on your resume.
